Sportsmans' Dinner on 18 May 2007 The Masonic Hall was packed for the Lodge's first ever Sportsmans' Dinner. After an excellent meal, though the service could have been better, the audience was treated to two excellent speeches by a well known former goalkeeper and a former referee both of whom were experienced and renowned after dinner speakers. Between the speeches there was a raffle and after them an auction of Sporting memorabilia which combined to raise a considerable sum for the Lodge's charity funds and for Lodge Motherwell Caledonian No 1228 who donated two signed football shirts to the auction on condition that the money raised should go to St Andrews Hospice in Airdrie. The result was a very successful evening which hopefully will be repeated in the future.
