                                James McPherson RWM 1917-1919

Bro McPherson was the only PM whose photograph did not appear in the Jubilee brochure produced in 1951. The reason for this omission  would have remained a mystery had his great granddaughter not contacted the web site to try to get information about a tea set which had been presented to him in 1920. She has now very kindly sent a photograph of her great grandfather taken at his golden wedding when he was not in the best of health and in fact died shortly afterwards. Later she sent a photo of the tea set and of a necklace which had been presented to her great grandmother and a scan of the inscription on the teapot which reads

Presented to Bro James McPherson

By the Brethren of

The Lodge 'Robert King Stewart no. 919'

In recognition of his services as RWM

I have now received an older photo of Bro McPherson taken in Ipswich Queensland Australia.Click on the thumbnails to see full size photos of Bro McPherson, his tea set, his wife's necklace and the inscription.
